Had my first violin lesson today. The teacher is super old, like, almost 70 and imported directly from the land of ancestors. But thankfully, he speaks Indo, unlike some who refuse to speak the official language of their residence country.
Anyway, he said I play with no power. Which, is right since I barely use my bow. I think it’s because I never wanted to be heard, so I got used to play softly. And overall, my right hand is a mess.
As I thought before, my fingering got much less problem and he’s quite impressed of how capable I am to read the notes and play them instantly with the right beat. I guess 6 years of marching percussions kinda paid off somehow.
My parents gotta buy my sis a new violin soon! Can’t wait to have ACD all for myself.
