stomp (telat seminggu)

Iya nih gue nggak sempet-sempet mau nulis tentang waktu itu nonton stomp. It was a great experience, really.

Jujur gue pertama tau stomp gara-gara minjem flashdisk temen gue terus di dalemnya ada video stomp sampe sejam (yang ternyata juga dia colong dari orang lain). Video quality-nya nggak bgitu bagus, tapi it was enough to fascinate me, secara gue main perkusi juga at that time.

Years later, gue nemu DVD dari video itu di HMV dan lagi diskon, so I just bought it without a doubt. Dan nggak lama kemudian, ada kabar mereka mau dateng ke singapura! :D :D

*kalo ada saat-saat dimana gue bahagia di singapura, pasti ini alesannya: coz they bring a lot of good musicians and performers. tapi ya sekali lagi, kalo ada.*

Singkatnya, gue langsung nanya pacar dia mau ikut nonton ato nggak (thank God dia mau ^^) trus pesen tiket deh. Beli yang paling murah soalnya kan dia nggak terlalu exposed sama stomp juga.

.

The show was started with the standard broom performance, continued with the more advance one, and poles. There are also the trash cans and body percussion, using hand claps to chest, belly and thigh, and not to forget shoe taps. Love love love when they perform the poles in pairs when they knock their poles to each other. Nice coreo also :)

The other “instruments” were not so familiar to me, such as matches, sinks, lighters, rubber pipes with different length, newspapers, water gallons, and even rubber boat. I would say that lighter is one of the best, cause they darkened the stage completely. The ‘click’ sounds from the lighters matched beautifully with the light coming out. The rubber boat was quite hilarious to me, coz they were just soooo big and bouncy :P

Comparing to the video I got, this performance is much much much funnier. They even had one or two jokers in the team who keep coming to the stage doing hilarious things to make the audiences laugh. I’m sure my boyfriend had a great time laughing out loud to these jokers :D

And I’m glad they brought that funny side into their show. For me it makes the newbies (to stomp) feel more comfortable and enjoy their performance. And their play is still as awesome as always.

.

After the show, I saw children banging their drumsticks into anything all around esplanade :P

Dear God,

Thank you so much for giving me a wonderful three months with the man I love. May we still love each other as You have loved us. May we always put each other before ourselves and put You before everything. May we be closer to You and not to the world. May we be a blessing to others.

May Your name be glorified through us.

May we still continue our relationship with Your blessings only.

.

PS: thank you to you too, honey :)

awesome!

Masih euforia nih pasca semalem gue nonton Liverpool – Singapore. Masih kebayang pemain-pemain dari klub yang gue cintai main di depan mata gue (oke meskipun kecil banget kadang2 mesti liat pake zoom kamera biar jelas..lol). Masih berasa getaran ketika semua orang menghentakkan kaki menjelang wave. Masih kebayang ketika (akhirnya) gue bisa nyanyi ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ di stadion beneran bareng orang-orang yang juga mencintai klub ini. Masih keinget saat kita semua rame-rame ngata-ngatain orang aneh yang masuk stadion pake baju emyu -.-” (cari mati bener tu orang. Banyak gaya pula.) Oh dan of course, masih inget rasanya minum bir di dalem stadion. Wah berasa yoi banget deh :D

Match nya pertama-tama sih lumayan boring, to be honest. Mungkin seperti kata Irving, kalo nonton di tv bisa uda hampir tidur kali (meskipun kalo liverpool pasti gue tahan-tahan lah ;) ). Mungkin juga gara-gara Liverpool make squad kelas dua dulu. Cuma Carra yang main dari menit pertama. Atau mungkin mereka simply belom panas. Abis halftime, baru deh pemain-pemain top keluar. Dan mulai deh banyak passing-passing cantik, apalagi pas Xabi akhirnya main :) (oh please please please don’t let him leave…we love him!)

Intinya, it was a great night. Thank you God for letting me experience all these. Thank you to my sunshine who bought me the ticket :) . Thanks to my friends who were watching with me. Thanks for a stadion full of supporters (the waves were fantastic!). Thanks to Liverpool Football Club who is so kind to travel all the way to South East Asia give us this wonderful experience.

speechless . . .

He said he had something for me.

He asked me to close my eyes,
and strictly forbid me to peek.

I felt a piece of paper being handed by him into my right hand.

.

.

And I was completely speechless when I opened my eyes and I saw one of these tickets in my hand.

.

Thank you, my sunshine. Thank you. I really don’t know what else to say. Thank you :)

it’s funny how things turn around

When I look two years back, at the very moment when I first saw him, well I never thought things could turn out this way. Never thought the social butterfly could ever want to not meet people. Never thought that happy-go-lucky guy could be a melancholic. Never thought he could say those sweet words instead of those crunchy lame ones. Never thought this i-don’t-give-a-damn guy could be so caring. Never thought the one whom I always look up to could love me back. Never thought I could love again this fast. Never thought that the sun could ever want to be with a satellite.

I’m in love.

and I really have been blessed :D

his name is Jason Mraz

He’s a real entertainer.
He’s a true musician.
He’s a magnificent songwriter.
He’s sexy in his own way.
He tells his story when he sings.
He’s awesome.
His name is Jason Mraz.

.

So yesterday I finally watched Jason Mraz’s concert in Singapore Indoor Stadium. It started with me forgot the ticket. Clumsy me. Luckily we were still in NTU. Next, we were late, and we couldn’t get a taxi in Kallang MRT, so we called (it costs us another S$3.50 :( ). Thankfully Singaporeans are not very punctual. At 8.05pm when we finally arrived, the concert has not yet started. Fiuhh

My seat was in section A06 row 11 seat 13 (see that light green spot?). A good seat, right? Especially after I stood up and moved forward through the whole concert :)

Was it you who spoke the words that things would happen but not to me
Oh things are gonna happen naturally

The concert started with The Dynamo of Volition and Geek in the Pink. Two quite popular songs among the Singaporeans, judging from their enthusiasm. Next was Waking Empty / Unfold, the songs which almost always been played in his concert (judging from his live albums) but not very familiar (I realized the title after the first chorus, although I recognize the melody from the start).

Continued with the upbeat You and I Both and the softer Sleeping to Dream .

Good day, sunlight. I’d like to say how truly bright you are
You don’t know me, but I know you. You’re my favorite star…

That was the opening lyric for Who Needs Shelter, my personal favorite of the day. I didn’t expect that he would sing this song, but I’m glad he did. This is a memorable song for me, because the title reminds me of the homeless period :P .

Why I like this song among the others he sang yesterday? Well for me, in this song he really sang with his heart, it’s like telling as story to a friend, about his love for summer and the sun. Love it! :D

p1080092

Live high, live mighty, live righteously. Taking it easy…

The concert continued with 6 songs from his latest album “We Sing, We Dance, We Steal Things”. Live High is the next song, which successfully lifted up the atmosphere again. Continued with Lucky (duet with a Singaporean singer which I didn’t know, but she has a good voice), Only Human, A Beautiful Mess, Make It Mine (yeayy! :D ), and of course, I’m Yours.

p1080114

I’m looking for love this time
Sounding hopeful but it’s making me cry

Mr. Curiousity might not be a familiar song, even to me, although I’ve heard the song several times. In this song Mraz showed off his falsetto, which, really really great. Very solid and beautiful *applause*

The Remedy was the next song, continued with No Stopping Us, and Butterfly for the finale.

p1080163

You’ve got it all…

It was the concert which worth everything (well although I was hoping that he’d play “Clockwatching”). This man totally enggaged with his band. This man could totally connected with the audiences. He could built up the atmosphere. He definitely entertained us, by placing his brass players from the band among the audiences in a song, by asking us to sing along, by giving spontaneous photographs, by his jokes, by his moves, by his sincerity to share his music.

The best S$148.20 I’ve spent. Thank you Mr. Mraz, hope you enjoyed Singapore and all the best for your concert in Jakarta :)

relieved

Hasilnya bakal dikirim via pos.

Yah singkat cerita, ni gue uda ambil hasilnya. Dan ternyata…hasilnya bagus!! :D

Total cholesterol : 141
HDL Cholesterol : 50
LDL Cholesterol : 75
Total/HDL Ratio : 2.8
Triglycerides : 82

Tadinya gue uda rada sedih gitu kok LDL >HDL, padahal kan HDL tuh kolesterol baik. Tapi setelah melihat tabelnya, jadi lega banget. Ternyata masih termasuk bagus. Bahkan LDLnya masih optimal range.

tabel

Blood glucose level juga masih normal

Intinya bersyukur deh masih dikaruniai kesehatan :)
