ManU 4-3 ManCity

Ini pertama kalinya gue ngeliat pacar sampe loncat2 naik sofa lounge pas gol terakhir dicetak. Bersama 3 cowok laen yang sama berisiknya. Dan hampir semua orang di lounge juga. I think no matter how much I love football, I still can’t understand their reaction yesterday…

Tapi waktu itu at least orang2 nggak naik sofa (soalnya ruangannya sempit bgt :P ).

Anyway, it was a great match, despite of the abnormal injury time.

jason~

Sedih banget deh kok jason error2 gitu ya…hiks. Sampe akhirnya gue format. Gue baik-baik aja kok kaga perna jatoh ato gimana. Huks. Lama lagi deh masuk2in sekian belas giga ><

a kid i taught today

Today I learned that I can learn from a secondary student. Sec 2 to be exact. She’s my mentee.

As usual, today I had a mentoring session. My mentee today said she wanted to learn science. Fyi, science in secondary curriculum is like combined science, it consists physics, chem, as well as bio. She asked me to teach all of them: energy & light (physics), states of matter (chem), and ecosystem (bio).

I really literally was amazed by her. I mean, she’s so curious. I was explaining about the difference of physical change and chemical change (I said physical changes are the ones which reversible) and I was just explaining about mixing which categorized as physical changes (I give an example salt+water when you can evaporate the water and get the salt back) when suddenly she asked: “Then what about jelly? After you mix the powder with water then freeze it, can you make it back to powder and water? Is it physical or chemical?”

I was stunned. I ask my friend who also have no idea, and we both came up with an answer, “I don’t know, but I think at the first place people don’t want to turn back jelly into powder.” Which is pathetically un-science :P

But the next surprise from her did not take a long time after that. I was starting to explain about greenhouse effect. First I try to explain about atmosphere. I began with this: “When God created the earth, He also created atmosphere.”

I didn’t really mean anything by saying this. All I want to say is at the very beginning, the atmosphere was already there. And I was preparing to explain the use of atmosphere. Then suddenly she said, “If God created the earth, He also created human? Then why there are so many surnames and different blood types?”

(Well actually I did not see the relation between ‘God created human’ and ‘there’re so many surnames’) But anyway, I said to her, “You want me to explain that first or greenhouse effect first?” Thank God she choose to learn the greenhouse effect first.

The surname thing I can explain quite nice. Blood type thing…well I wasn’t sure if she was satisfied with my answer. But I don’t think she care about it because she just suddenly popped out questions I never thought a sec 2 student will ask.

“When you die then where will you go?”

“When you die then what will you feel?”

“What happen with the baby aborted by it’s mother?”

I constantly prayed in silence when I gave her my answers. Sadly she didn’t really care about the afterlife, but I hope someday she will.

running away

I never knew it could feel so good, padahal ini bukan yang pertama kalinya gue melakukan itu semua. Maybe he was right, I need a getaway. I mean a proper getaway. But due to time constraints, these are the only things I can do. Yah itung-itung abis selesai register IA dan abis kelar assesment project.

Yah but the reality keeps rolling.

trying to keep the spirit high.

I didn’t say it was easy, though.

This is a truly helpful site for girls.

On second thought, it might be helpful also for attached men.

mulai berasa uda deket IA

Ohya nggak lupa bikin resume. Duh mana semua nilai harus dimasukin semua…katanya sih orang interview banyak ngeliat kegiatan non-akademik dan performance on the spot.

Yow semangat semua! :D

Dear God,

Thank you so much for giving me a wonderful three months with the man I love. May we still love each other as You have loved us. May we always put each other before ourselves and put You before everything. May we be closer to You and not to the world. May we be a blessing to others.

May Your name be glorified through us.

May we still continue our relationship with Your blessings only.

.

PS: thank you to you too, honey :)

For more information about the exhibition, kindly go to this site: http://livinglegacy2009.com/eng/index.html

.

I went there last Sunday, after church. It was quite hectic since the church ends at around 12.40pm, we haven’t had our lunch, and we have to be in the Art House at 2pm. Moreover, it was raining so we have to wait for the bus. After lunch we then took cabs so we can arrived at 2.10pm.

Well to be honest, for me it’s not like I was expecting. Instead of an exhibition of archeological artefacts, it was more about the history of Holy Bible. I didn’t say it was not interesting, though. For the artefacts, there are some old Jewish coins, scrolls written in Hebrew, some potteries, and of course, four pieces of the dead sea scrolls.

It was very exciting for me to look at those old version of Bibles. Especially those written in German (yes I have a problem. I’m freak about anything German). And not to forget that many of them have beautiful illustrations and those Gothic-style letters! Yea those are really beautiful and at the same time prevent me to read them :P .

I was really interested to see how English itself had changed a long way since the Old English era until the KJV Bible we have now.

I had a hard time reading Old English with those gothic font! After a lot of searching we finally found that this is 2 Corinthians 4 :)

and even harder to read this Bible in German. I supposed it was also written in Old German since there are so many words I’ve never seen before. It took us much longer time to find out it started with 1 Samuel 13:11 :) :)

.

I’m really proud of ourselves for finding what Bible verse are those :D

Oh and there’s this one I love:

This bible is written in 10 languages ^^
