choosing subjects

I have 12 core subjects in my 2nd year as an EEE student (if the school doesn’t kick me out). According to the recommendation issued by EEE website, I should take 6 subjects in first semester. I’ve passed one, so 5 subjects (13 AUs). In the 2nd semester I should take the other 6 subjects (17 AUs) and even SEVEN core subjects if they still put my name under ABP program (which I’m sure they will kick me out very soon).

I plan to take two more subjects in art (to be precise, music) this semester. As usual, I want to add something I probably enjoy. I plan to take GV 17 (applying for the third time) and AAI282 (percussion). So the total is 19 AUs. Quite few, isn’t it? I usually take more than 20 AUs every semester. Well, I often think to add one more subject to my planner, a prescribed elective in business and management.

But…I knew I cannot handle it. I’m not that smart. So, let’s just follow what the university has given in the curriculum.

For the worst case scenario (not getting GV17 and failed at percussion audition), I will add MB102 (Business Finance) as my PE in B&M [I will s/u it, of course].

I will still consult my seniors about the subjects before Tuesday, but most probably my subjects will be:

  • EE2001
  • EE2004
  • EE2006
  • EE2071
  • HW201
  • AAI282
  • GV17

One thing I worried is the laboratory (EE2071) and technical communication (HW201). It will be nice to have Indo friends in those subjects to we can do better in formal lab reports and more importantly, the presentation. And mostly my close friends aren’t EEE students. Hmm…I survived my first semester where there’s no Indonesian in my lab and comm class…let’s see if I can survived this too.
