this dawn..!
Just wondering what will I write this dawn, after the semifinal 2nd leg match between Liverpool and Chelsea. Would it be a excited-happy-thankful post or sad-and-disappointed-but-sure-it’s-for-the-best post.
As a fan and supporter, I am so freakin’ scared. What if the players cannot get their form? What if the Chelsea supporters ruin the players’ concentration? What if they made fatal mistakes? What if Rafa made a wrong decision? What if the referee is not fair? and other what ifs…
Wew I cannot imagine how nervous Rafa, Stevie G, and other players are.
Yeah but then…let’s just be patient and believe for the best to come from the Liverpool players!
finally free!!
Wew, after 7 exams in 15 exam period days, I’M FINISHED!
I’ve just got back from Hall F SRC after my EE2008 paper. Hmm, I think I’m quite satisfied. I hope the result will satisfied, too…(oh man I’m really afraid about my degree audit!
).
So, for some weeks, welcome freedom!!

the world is so unfair…
James Marsden can act, sing, and he is hot. And romantic (at least in the movies). And married. Just how unfair the world is!
Anyway, just listen to the song. It’s originally by Elvis, titled “You were always on my mind.” Damn it makes me melted…
Maybe I didn’t treat you
Quite as good as I should have
Maybe I didn’t love you
Quite as often as I could have
Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
Maybe I didn’t hold you
All those lonely, lonely times
And I guess I never told you
I’m so happy that you’re mine
If I make you feel second best
Girl, I’m sorry I was blind
You were always on my mind
You were always on my mind
Little things I should have said and done
I just never took the time
You were always on my mind
You are always on my mind
You are always on my mind
sleepover!!
Yeah I know it’s not the right time to sleepover, especially when you have a core subject paper to do in 3 days…hahaha… But as some of my good friends know I had problems with my roommate. Irreconcilable differences. And Steffanie’s roommate Irene had just gone back to Indo, so what the heck..why not?
It was great, I have to say. No noises when I was studying, no long phone calls in the room, and Steffanie is much much neater than my roomie…all the things I can’t have for almost a year. I like it here, and I think I will stay till she go back to Indo, which means still a week…yay!
okay, now the bad side. It’s all about series, movies, series, and movies. We watched them all day, and discussed it…again, thank God for the sharing folder! I now finished Desperate Housewives season 3, and I hope I can resist the temptation to watch season 4. I still have an exam!!
Furthermore, I slept at 6 am and woke up at 12pm. Bad bad bad biologic hours. What will happen to my liver in the next 20 years might be determined now. But…we’re young, right? And it really doesn’t matter if we don’t eat, and it really doesn’t matter if we never sleep…coz we are so young now… [The Corrs' So Young]
in Rafa we trust
Yes, I am. I truly believe in him. One more thing that makes me so sure is the article below from www.liverpoolfc.tv (official LFC website). I really admire Rafa for backing Riise. I mean, Riise is a great player, but unfortunately he was careless and created that own goal against Chelsea in Champions League. I saw some people (who supported LFC) scolded him…I think he didn’t deserve it, because of what he’s done for the past few years in Liverpool. It must be hard for Riise, and I’m really glad Rafa backed him. I think that’s what a good leader (coach) should do.

Rafael Benitez has revealed John Arne Riise is desperate to make amends for his own goal howler against Chelsea in midweek. |
| The Norwegian full back’s injury time header into his own net has given Chelsea the advantage going into the second leg of the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night, but Benitez has backed the 27-year-old to bounce back.”I have spoken to John and he is desperate to play,” said the Reds’ boss. “You cannot change anything just by talking. It’s best he comes straight back in. The main thing is that he scores at Stamford Bridge – in the right goal!”
Riise is likely to start at St Andrews today as Liverpool go in search of the one point which will guarantee Champions League football once again next season. With Fabio Aurelio sidelined, Riise is likely to be one of a number of changes to the side which faced Chelsea as Benitez rests his key men ahead of the second leg. “I can only think about my team and their needs,” he added. “I know there has been criticism of what we did at Fulham, but that is of no concern to me. “You are responsible for your own luck, and you cannot say we must play a certain team because you are in trouble. Other sides have different situations. Those in mid-table may choose to blood young players and nobody will criticise that. “I will use the players I believe will be good enough to win. I did that at Fulham and we won. Everybody wants to play every game. I was talking with two or three big names and they said: ‘I want to play, I want to play’, but I will have to analyse each one and then decide. “The most important thing is the team and the club so I cannot say yes to everyone as it will mean I am taking risks. “There are some players who know that they need to show quality and character if they want to stay at a top club like Liverpool. “That means the last few games are a challenge for them and they need to take what opportunities come their way. “We still need a point to be fourth. I cannot see Everton winning all three of their games, but we need to make sure for ourselves as quickly as possible.” Damien Plessis is likely to be involved today after an impressive debut at Arsenal while Emiliano Insua could also taste first team action for the first time this season. |

yesterday & today : mem-babi-kan diri
What is membabikan diri? Hmm it’s sort of making yourself like a pig. I mean, the greediness and the laziness.
Okay, on one side, I have finished 6 (out of 7) exams…that means I still have ONE more paper, and that is a core subject for 2nd year, EE 2008 (Data Structures and Algorithms). So, I supposed to mug and kiasu-ing. But on the other side, the exam is on 30th April! Which means I got 5 days (since 24th April evening) to do it. And for a person like me, it’s definitely IMPOSSIBLE to mug for 5 days in a row. So, I decided to have fun and relax for 2 days, then I will start studying on 27th April.
So, what’s the problem? Seems like a nice idea, isn’t it? Well, having fun when you still have a paper to do is always give you a guilty feeling. So what can I do is just watching movies and series from sharing folders (oh thank God for them!), that means I don’t move a lot.
And the real problem is, I EAT A LOT…oh no! Yesterday, I had lunch with Jeremy at the new canteen A. We bought mini-wok. The portion was huge, for S$2.80. And then, we bought McD ice cream. Later I went to a talk from Alumni Affair Office (AAO) in Buena Vista about wealth management. Basically, this kind of talk invited successful alumnus from NTU to share their experiences. AAO also provided a buffet for us. Again, a lot of food, for free! How can I resist the temptation? Just imagine how much sugar & calories I put into my body…
Today, we went to Changi airport because Irene & Steffi were going back to Indo. Before that I ate mini-wok in canteen A (again). That was the first time I go to Terminal 3 @ Changi. It was beautiful, and very aesthetic. It’s really nice to be there. After that, Nete (Nathan Adianta) suggested us to go to HMV…and so, we went to City Link and spent quite a lot of time there. For dinner we went to an Indonesian restaurant in Marina Square. What a nice tahu telor and sate kambing! (despite of the prices)

again…a lot of food going to my body…I’m so still full right now (at least 4 hours after dinner)…I guess I eat just too much…
F1 Sg Grand Prix tickets for me
For more info click here.
Jeremy has just told me that Stephen already bought the walkabout tickets for us. Waw! Quite excited…I really want to feel the atmosphere of the race…working in F1 engineering is one of my ultimate dreams. Although I do not enjoy the show as much as about 2-3 years ago, I’m sure it will be an unforgettable experience for me.
On the negative side, another S$108 spent…
Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea (CL semi final 1st leg)
[this post was written while the match still in progress]
Final score: Liverpool 1-1 Chelsea
goals: Kuyt 43′, Riise (og) 90+5′
The match was not as good as I predicted. Maybe there’s too much pressure on the boys’ shoulders. The first half was quite okay…Liverpool got the ball most of the time, but they just cannot create enough chances. On the other hand, Chelsea was quite screwed. Drogba dived every 5 minutes or less, as usual. The others just cannot get their rhythm. Only Petr Cech was good. Damn.
The first goal was scored by Dirk Kuyt. It all started from Torres‘ attack which caused a riot in Chelsea’s goalpost. Lampard was not in the right position and there Kuyt goes and strike. The goal created quite a tension for Chelsea as they tend to foul after that.
Second half was better for Chelsea (or was it because Liverpool play worse?). Drogba still dived everytime he can (what is wrong with him? can’t he just play in Italy and not England?), and the others foul Liverpool players on every contact but their attacks are more organized now. Oh thank God for Reina and Liverpool defenders! Ooh I just hope that Cech will make a blunder, which is quite unlikely…he even made brilliant saves…too bad he’s playing for Chelsea
WHAT’S WRONG WITH CHELSEA PLAYERS? Why they really like to hurt?
OWWW SHITT…Riise made an own goal…poor poor John Arne…he must be really broke. I’m sure that the fans will still love him…but there are plenty who will not…
Not a good game for Liverpool, hope Rafa can fix it for the 2nd leg.
2nd leg will be in Stamford Bridge. Liverpool will go to the final, I still believe. Keep the faith!
adm280 [check]
Finally I can wrote subject [check] again…haha…
ADM exam was not so bad, compared to the material science one, which I absolutely have no idea.
The questions were 8 pictures and we have to make visual analysis on 4 of them. The pictures given is: a Chinoiserie plaque, Venice’s Basilica San Marco, colonial landscape by Frans Post, The Battle of Abu Qir, Ingres’ La Grande Odalisque, one van Gogh’s painting, one Gauguin’s, and one Andre Derain’s compared with Congo mask.
Wew…the questions were not as I expected. I was hoping to see a very famous one, such as Starry Night, or a very meaningful one like Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going? by Paul Gauguin.
Firstly I choose to write the analysis for the chinoiserie, Post’s, Ingres’, and the San Marco. But in the last 20 minutes, I thought that my Chinoiserie analysis is quite bad, so I decided to write Gauguin’s in 15 MINUTES. Crazy me.
Fortunately I managed to finish the Gauguin analysis. And after all, that’s not so bad…I hope I could get B in this subject…well everybody know it’s hell difficult to get an A in ADM subjects…haha…
Ohya, one more thing. I didn’t know that thesaurus and dictionaries are permitted for this exam. Damn. My essays basically screwed without thesaurus…
5 down, still 2 to go. Wish me luck & happy exam!!
